Customer Portal Language Settings (Multi-Language Portal)

Customer Portal Language Settings (Multi-Language Portal)

Enable one or more languages on your Customer Portal so customers can browse your services and complete bookings in their preferred language. Admins choose which languages are available, and customers can switch languages anytime from the portal menu.

Why use a multi-language portal?

  • Increase conversions: customers are more likely to book when they can read service details and checkout steps clearly.
  • Improve customer experience: fewer misunderstandings about pricing, inclusions, and policies.
  • Localise your brand: tailor terminology and tone per market instead of relying on generic wording.

How it works

  1. Enable languages (admin): select which portal languages you want to offer.
  2. Customers choose a language: a language picker appears in the portal menu.
  3. Translate your custom content: enter translations for your services, policies, and templates so the portal is fully localised.

Configure portal languages (Admin)

  1. Go to Settings → Customer Portal → General Settings.
  2. Locate the Language / Languages section.
  3. Select one or more languages from the dropdown list.
  4. Click Save changes.

Example: enabling English, Arabic, French, and Danish.

What customers see (Customer Portal)

  1. Open your Customer Portal link.
  2. Open the portal menu (top right / side menu).
  3. Select Select language, then choose the preferred language.

Important: what you need to translate yourself

To provide a fully localised experience, enter translations for your customer-facing content in each enabled language, such as:

  • Services: name, short description, full description.
  • Custom fields & options: labels, help text, option names (add-ons, checklists, measurement guides).
  • Policies: booking disclaimer, privacy policy, terms content (where applicable).
  • Customer communications: email/SMS templates and any customer-facing notes.

Supported languages

You can enable any languages available in your portal language list. If the language you need isn’t shown, contact support to ask about availability.

Tips and troubleshooting

  • Test end-to-end: services list → service page → booking flow → confirmation → customer emails/invoices.
  • Some text still in English? It’s usually custom content that hasn’t been entered for that language yet (services, policies, templates).
  • SEO tip: keep meta titles/descriptions aligned with the language of the page content for best search results.
