Calendar Day View

The system automatically filters the local calendar to show all upcoming bookings for the current month. However, users can choose to filter the calendar to display bookings in a day view, where they get to see an overview of their bookings held on the selected day and can manage their calendar on a day-to-day basis. Through the day view, users can;

To display your bookings in day view: 

  1. Go to your Calendar 
  2. On the right side of the page, select day to show bookings for the current day

The day view displays all the bookings scheduled on the current day in blocks as shown in the image below, it is a more detailed view, displaying the hours of the day and fieldworkers with assigned bookings on that day. You can use the arrows at the left of the page to go forward a day or back a day.

You can also click on the calendar icon, then pick a day to view all upcoming bookings on that day and the fieldworkers assigned.

Change assigned fieldworker using drag and drop

On your calendar day view, you can easily reassign a booking to a different fieldworker directly from your calendar. To do that, on your calendar overview, you can view all fieldworkers assigned to bookings on the selected day. To reschedule the booking to a different fieldworker, simply click on the scheduled booking, drag, and place the booking on the column of your different selected fieldworker. The fieldworker must be available during the booking scheduled hours to accept the booking.

After dragging and dropping the scheduled booking appointment to the other fieldworker’s column, the booking will automatically be reassigned to the other fieldworker, and the calendar will be updated immediately. 

For the booking to be reassigned successfully, the selected fieldworker must be available during the scheduled booking hours and must be able to provide the selected service for this booking.

Reschedule bookings by simply dragging and dropping on the calendar day view

To reschedule a booking, from your calendar day view, click on the booking appointment, drag and drop it to a different time slot, the booking will automatically be rescheduled to the selected hours, and a notification will be sent to your customer and assigned fieldworker informing them of the booking rescheduling changes. 

Create a new booking from the calendar day view

You can also easily create a new booking directly from your calendar day view, click on the calendar time slot you want to schedule a booking on, and a pop-up window will appear, click on Add Booking.

You will be redirected to the create a new booking page, enter all your booking details, and save. The booking appointment will then appear on your calendar view. 

Create an unavailable event directly from the calendar day view

You can also easily add unavailable events or mark unavailable days for your company or fieldworkers directly from your calendar day view, click on the calendar time slot you want to mark as unavailable, a pop-up window will appear, and click on Unavailable.

To mark an unavailable day or a specific time of the day for your company, select your general fieldworker which acts as the default calendar for your business, from the dropdown list, to mark a day as unavailable, enable the toggle button All day.

To set an unavailable event at a specific time of the day, select the day from the date picker, and pick the time, then click Save.

Upon clicking on save, your unavailable event will be added to your office calendar, and the selected hours will be marked as unavailable for scheduling bookings. 

Edit the time of the booking directly from the calendar

Whether you want to adjust the time of the booking and add more hours or change the booking hours by removing hours from the booking time, you can easily do so directly from your calendar when you have the day view selected. 

On the booking you wish to adjust the time for, click and drag the end of the booking to add more hours to the booking time or drag upwards to remove hours from the booking duration. 

Your calendar will then be updated, and an email will be sent to your customer and assigned fieldworker about the booking changes. 

View fieldworker label on the calendar day view

On your calendar day view, you can easily view all your fieldworkers, with their added labels. So, if your fieldworker has labels added to their profile, they will appear in the calendar under their name, as shown below. 

So, if your fieldworker has a label or many labels added to their profile, you can view it/them on your calendar day view under their display name. 

To add a new label to your fieldworker profile, click on the Actions button, then click on Add label. You can add an existing label or create a new one.
