Accept a booking request on behalf of a fieldworker

OctopusPro gives admin users the ability to control everything about a job, from assigning fieldworkers, to sending them job requests to even accepting and declining these requests.

In case you need to accept a booking on behalf of a fieldworker, you can easily do that with just a few clicks. You can even convert the request status back to pending after accepting it or decline the request on behalf of your fieldworker.

How to accept a booking request on behalf of a fieldworker as an admin user

Some users may have permission to accept booking requests on behalf of Fieldworkers. To do this:

  1. Go to ‘Bookings’.
  2. Select the type of booking you wish to view or select All Bookings
  3. It will redirect to the booking overview page, on the left side of the page from “services” section .
  4. In the appointments, You can convert booking request to accept.

Then, select Accept All, or in case there are multiple appointments for this booking, select the appointments you want to approve and click on “Save”.

The booking will now be confirmed and assigned to the selected fieldworker. 

How to decline a booking request on behalf of a fieldworker as an admin user 

After accepting the booking request on behalf of a fieldworker, you can decline the request if needed. 

To do that:

  1. Go to Bookings
  2. Select the type of booking you wish to view or select All Bookings
  3. It will redirect to the booking overview page, on the left side of the page from “services” section .
  4. In the appointments, You can convert booking request to decline. 

Then, click on Decline All, or in case there are multiple appointments for this booking, select the appointments you want to decline and click on Save.

The booking will now be declined for the selected fieldworker. 

How to convert a booking request to pending after accepting it

After accepting the booking request, you can convert the status back to pending.

To do that:

  1. Go to Bookings
  2. Select the type of booking you wish to view or select All Bookings
  3. It will redirect to the booking overview page, on the left side of the page from “services” section .
  4. In the appointments, You can convert booking request to pending . 

Then, click on Convert to pending, or in case there are multiple appointments for this booking, select the appointments you want to convert to pending and click on Save.
