Enabling/Disabling the Feature

Enabling fieldworkers to create new invoices 

To enable fieldworkers to create new invoices, follow these steps:

  1. Log into your OctopusPro account
  2. Go to Settings > General settings > Fieldworkers Permissions 
  3. Scroll to the relevant flag “Allow fieldworkers to create new invoices” and enable it.

Once enabled, your fieldworkers will see the option to create invoices in their mobile app.

Restricting fieldworkers from creating new invoices

If you wish to restrict fieldworkers from creating new invoices, you can disable the flag for it. To do so, follow these steps:

  1. Log into your OctopusPro account
  2. Go to Settings > General settings > Fieldworkers Permissions 
  3. Scroll to the relevant flag “Allow fieldworkers to create new invoices” and disable it.

Once disabled, your fieldworkers will be restricted from creating invoices in their mobile app.

Creating Invoices as a Fieldworker

As a fieldworker, follow these steps to create an invoice:

  1. Open the mobile app and log in to your account.
  2. Navigate to the “Invoices” section from your sidebar menu. 
  3. Click on the “Add New Invoice” button.
  4. Fill in the required details, start by selecting a customer, then adding a service, adding the time required, adjusting the price if necessary, and selecting a date and time for the service. 
  5. Add any additional notes or attachments as needed.
  6. Review the booking details to ensure all information is accurate, and finally confirm the booking.
  7. Once the booking has been confirmed, an invoice will automatically be generated for it which you can review and edit.

  2. Set up invoice templates to maintain consistency and reduce errors.
